Event Details
We continue our Cozy Mystery Book Club. Every month the club reads a cozy mystery that is the first one in a series. You may come in person to the program or attend virtually using Microsoft Meeting. Contact Judy Coon to get the sign-in information. This month's selection is The Garden Plot by Marty Wingate. This is the first novel in the Potting Shed Mystery Series.
Prunella "Pru" Parke is an American gardener living in England - a country of lush green gardens, endless drizzle and handsome groundskeepers. She has moved to London on a whim only to find out that no one wants to hire her. Then she meets wealthy, and somewhat wacky, Vernona Wilson who wants to be rid of her unsightly old potting shed. Pru gets to work, under the eyes of a snoopy neighbor. She expects to dig up dirt. Instead, her shovel finds an ancient Roman mosaic and a bludgeoned body buried in the soil. Detective Christopher Pearse is investigating, but Pru thinks she might be better suited to find the answer to the puzzling case.
